Lingnan culture is best learned by doing. This camp combines site study with workshops: reading a clan hall, printing a New Year picture, learning a Cantonese opera gesture, cooking a Cantonese dish and presenting findings in English or Mandarin at the end of the week.
Highlights
- Architecture study at Chen Clan Academy and Xiguan
- Craft workshops: Cantonese embroidery, paper cutting, pottery
- Cantonese opera introduction with a performer
